Remember when you dreamt of owning your own business and being your own boss with weekends off and plenty of time to spend doing the things you love with the people you love? Well, I do too which is why I started KANA Solutions.

I was watching my friends run themselves ragged while running their own small businesses and it wasn’t unusual for me to be up all hours working on projects for clients after my son had gone to bed. When I looked at why we were all working such long hours and stressed out, there were a few common denominators. We all were trying to do it all ourselves and if there is one thing almost everyone hated, it was tax time. That gave me the idea to start my bookkeeping business because most of the options out there are either do-it-yourself or too expensive for most small businesses.

Around the same time, I was able to connect two friends of mine. Erhan does amazing graphic design work and Jason is an online marketer who was in need of a graphic artist to design a logo for a client. After bringing them together, Jason asked me if I knew someone for something else since it seemed I knew so many people and it got me to thinking that maybe instead of just offering bookkeeping, we could work together to help other small businesses. KANA Solutions, solutions for small businesses, was born!

I focus on bookkeeping while my partners can help you with other aspects of your business. The one thing we all have in common is we’re all small businesses and want to help other small business owners thrive and grow. We know how valuable time is and want to help you get that back the same way we have.

We prefer using Quickbooks or Wave Accounting but can use almost any accounting software you prefer. If you like full access to your financials at all times, both Quickbooks Online and Wave Accounting give you that flexibility while letting me work in the background. If you’d rather just get updates when you need them, regular Quickbooks is an option at no extra cost.

Yes! No matter what your financial organization looks like now, we can help you get on track and find the best way to do that for your business even if that means texting me pictures of receipts because you used cash and have trouble keeping track of them. My role is to make sure you know where your company stands financially while taking the stress of keeping track of it all away.

As little or as much as you want to be. Some clients prefer to be very involved, checking accounts and looking at projections while others need me to handle their invoicing and give me direct access to their online banking so they don’t have to remember to send me statements for reconciliation every month. My job as your bookkeeper is to make your life easier no matter what that looks like.

Unlike large accounting firms, CPAs, or an employee, hiring me to handle your bookkeeping will cost you a lot less than you think. Rates depend on the number of accounts and complexity of the bookkeeping required but I do work with people on pricing so that you can take the time you save and more than make up for what it costs to have me handle your books.
